TEHRAN- The managing director of Government Trading Corporation of Iran announced on Sunday that according to the implemented plan, Iran is self-sufficient in production of wheat and level of wheat imports will remain zero during the present Iranian calendar year (ends on March 20, 2019), as it did in the preceding year.
As IRNA quoted Yazdan Seif as saying in a ceremony on Sunday, Iran suffers from shortage of water, but Iranian farmers achieved self-sufficiency in wheat production.
